During his time at Munkenbeck & Marshall Jef Smith was project architect for the conversion of this Grade II* listed Georgian terrace house in Mayfair back into a single family dwelling.

The work included restoring the formal dining room, drawing room, and library to their former grandeur while introducing a contemporary aesthetic to the new bathrooms, kitchen and conservatory, and adding a fifth floor level into the reconfigured roofline. American white oak, silver green slate, French limestone, were used extensively along with satin nickel fixtures and fittings, stainless steel for the kitchen worktops, American cherry for the library bookcases and for all the panel doors. The walls and floor to the main bedroom’s bathroom were clad in large slabs of Carrara marble while various combinations of mosaic tiles and veneers were used in the other bathrooms.
