Wandle Valley School

Wandle Valley School in the London Borough of Sutton appointed meld to prepare a feasibility study for development options which would form part of the school’s application for BSF funding being made to the local borough and education authority. Through a series of diagrammatic layouts, sketches and massing models we explored a number of site strategies looking at things such as:
- evaluating existing new build proposals for expansion of existing classroom spaces
- providing sketch proposals for making the central courtyard more useable and attractive
- advising on options for converting existing gymnasium space into classrooms
- providing illustrative material of proposals for fund raising and promotional purposes.
The options are under re-consideration after the withdrawal of BSF funding and we await further instruction.
